How to update your company across multiple sites
When your company appears on other launch and discovery sites, you can update everything at once or pick which sites to change.
Updated
What stays the same everywhere
Your company's core information lives in one place. The name, website, logo, homepage screenshot, long description, features, pricing, links, FAQs, milestones, screenshots, demo video, founders and your founder story are stored once. Change them here, and they change everywhere your company is listed. The same goes for team access, notification choices, billing details, VAT number and your sign-in security. There is nothing to copy for these things.
What you can keep different
The tagline, short description, SEO title and SEO description are kept per site, so you can tailor them to each audience. Your additional categories work the same way—you can choose which sites receive them when you save.
How to apply changes
In the listing editor, next to "Publish changes", you will see your options. By default, "All my listings of the company" is selected. You can instead choose "Only this site" or select specific sites from a list, with "Select all" and "Select none" to save time. Only the wording you changed in that save goes to the other sites. Anything you did not touch stays as it was.
Managing existing differences
On /account/listings, "Copy details" shows you where your tagline, short description or SEO wording already differs between sites. You can copy this site's versions to the others you tick.
Additional categories follow the same process on the More categories page, but only if those sites have the add-on ($5). Categories that a site does not support or that would exceed its limit are left out, and we let you know.
What never copies
Votes, reviews, rankings, launch weeks, Featured and sponsored placements, and badges and verification stay with each site. On a free listing, paid profile sections remain locked until you upgrade.
After you publish
Changes go live straight away. You will receive one email summary for each site that was updated. If something fails, we try again automatically and tell you if the problem persists.
Questions people ask
- Can I use different taglines on different sites?
- Yes. The tagline is kept per site, so you can write a different one for each. The same applies to your short description, SEO title and SEO description. Only changes you make in the editor go to other sites; wording you leave alone stays as it is.
- What happens to votes and reviews when I update?
- Votes, reviews, rankings, launch weeks and placements are never copied between sites. Each site keeps its own activity history. Updates you make only affect the shared company information and the per-site wording you choose to copy.
- Will extra categories work on sites that do not have the add-on?
- No. When you copy additional categories to other listings, sites without the $5 add-on are skipped. Categories that would exceed a site's limit are left out too. We tell you which ones did not copy and why.
