Does Startup Launched have an API?

Yes, on both counts. The REST API lives at /api/v1 (with its OpenAPI file) and the MCP server at /mcp, both free. Reading public data needs no sign-in; submitting or managing a listing needs your account (OAuth or an API key).

Will I be charged to use it?

Access is free within the published rate limits. When you buy a product, a paid launch for example, its price is on the pricing page.

Does the AI ever make facts up about my product?

The AI is designed not to, and you stay in control: values come from your own website, facts it cannot verify are left blank and marked, and every field is yours to review and change before anything goes live.

Can I connect my AI app, such as Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or VS Code, to Startup Launched?

Yes. In your app, add the MCP server URL as a custom connector or MCP server. You can read straight away, and the first write opens a browser for connecting your account.

Rules of use

Pricing is Startup Launched's own, served by list_products in US dollar cents; VAT is not included.
The AI quotes the product's own website as evidence, leaves any fact it cannot find blank and marked, and does not invent facts.
To pay, the person opens the checkout link the API returns and pays on that page. The API itself takes no card details.
You cannot vote through the API or MCP server. A vote on Startup Launched only ever comes from a person using the site.
Anything bought, such as the billboard or a sponsorship, carries a label saying it is paid. The community rankings use votes and nothing else.
