About Nonprofit & Social Impact
Most people who start something for the public good can name the moment it began. A conversation, a failure, a street they could not stop thinking about. This category collects those products and organisations, and each listing is a chance to tell that story properly, with a portrait of the person behind it and the reasoning in their own words.
Here you will find registered charities, giving platforms, volunteer schemes and civic software, all listed alongside the people who run them. Browse the main category or step into a subcategory to narrow things down, then use the filters to refine the list. Newest listings appear first, and you can sort by community votes instead. Votes can never be bought, so the order reflects what readers actually value. Read the founder's account before you judge the product. It usually explains more than the feature list.

Nonprofit & Social Impact: questions answered
- What belongs in Nonprofit & Social Impact?
- Products and businesses whose main purpose is public benefit: charities, fundraising tools, volunteering platforms and civic software. If your work serves a cause but its core is something else, such as general productivity software, choose the main category that describes what it actually does.
- How do I choose between the subcategories?
- Pick the one that matches what people do with your product. Charities & causes suits organisations with a mission. Fundraising & donations suits tools for raising money. Volunteering suits anything that connects people with their time. Civic tech suits software that helps people engage with public life.
- How do I get listed here?
- Go to /submit and paste your website address. An AI drafts the profile from your site, and you check and edit every field before anything goes live. Your main category is included free. A paid upgrade adds up to 3 more categories for $5.
- How are listings ordered on this page?
- Newest listings come first by default. Visitors can switch to sorting by community votes. Votes can never be bought, so a high position through votes reflects real support from readers rather than payment.
- What should I look for when comparing options?
- Read the founder's story first and check whether the problem they describe matches the one you have. Then look at how clearly they explain who the product serves and what it does. A founder who is specific about the people they help is usually worth a closer look.
