Recall is a vocabulary app for iPhone that helps you master words you choose to study. Instead of preset curricula, you photograph your own textbooks, vocabulary sheets, or class handouts, and Recall converts them into flashcards in seconds.

The app uses FSRS (Free Spaced Repetition Scheduler), an open spaced-repetition algorithm, to determine exactly when each word is about to slip from memory and resurface it at the optimal moment. Reviews appear in an infinite swipe feed, on your lock screen through memory alarms, and in mini games.
Recall supports nine languages and any language pair—English-Korean cards can sit alongside Japanese-German ones in the same library. It includes features like AI-generated example sentences, native-speaker audio, pledge tracking, and Atelier lessons built around your chosen words.

- How many languages does Recall support?
- Recall supports nine languages: English, Korean, Japanese, Spanish, German, Swedish, French, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese. Every card keeps its own language pair, so you can have English-Korean, Japanese-German, and other combinations in one library.
- What are the scan limits on different plans?
- Photo scans are limited per calendar month: 10 scans on Plus and 15 scans on Pro. The Free plan does not include photo scanning, but you can still add words manually or by CSV import. The count resets at the start of each month.
- What happens to my words if I reinstall the app?
- On Free, back up your vocabulary with an iPhone or iCloud device backup, or upgrade to a paid plan. On Plus and Pro, cloud sync restores your words, review history, and wordlists when you sign back in with your Apple ID.
