In brief
- Which countries does GigFreight cover?
- GigFreight operates in four markets: Europe, the United Kingdom, the United States (all 50 states) and Turkey. The platform covers all 27 EU member states plus UK, US and Turkey, with every load specifying origin and destination country and city-level search. GigFreight covers road freight only — not air freight or maritime shipping.
- How does company verification work?
- Companies upload their registration, VAT or EIN, insurance, and operator licence (for carriers) or brokerage authority and bond (for brokers) at registration or later from their account. The GigFreight team reviews the documents. Verified companies receive a 'Verified by GigFreight' badge on their profile. Verification is required to post loads, not to register or browse.
- What is the difference between Standard and Elite plans?
- Standard gives full marketplace access including load board, vehicle board, advanced search, real-time notifications and analytics dashboard. Elite adds Elite-only loads with restricted visibility and higher rates, priority broker placement, API access with API keys, and premium support.
- Is GigFreight GDPR compliant?
- Yes. Personal and company data is processed under GDPR for EU and UK, and the GigFreight database is hosted in EU data centres in Ireland. To request a copy or deletion of your data, email support; requests are handled within the time limits GDPR sets.
- Can I use GigFreight with my TMS or ERP system?
- Yes. Elite plan subscribers get API keys for the GigFreight REST API, which provides read access to loads in their markets. Full endpoint documentation is available at the API documentation page.
