draw.how offers step-by-step drawing lessons with an integrated canvas where users can draw directly on the page. Users select a subject, follow ghosted guide lines at their own pace, and receive one specific piece of personalized feedback based on their actual strokes. The platform supports drawing with a mouse, trackpad, finger, or by uploading photos of pencil sketches. Every lesson, the canvas, printable step sheets, practice drills, and feedback are completely free with no account required. The site never generates art for users and never trains AI models on their drawings.

In brief

Is it really free?
Yes, every lesson, the canvas, practice drills and feedback are free with no account. There are no ads either. Nothing you can use today gets taken away later.
Do I need an account?
No. You can draw, finish, and get feedback without an account. An account only exists so your drawings and progress follow you to another device.
Does the AI draw it for me?
Never. The platform measures your strokes and tells you one thing to work on. Nothing is generated, nothing is drawn for you, and your drawings never train any model.
Do I need a drawing tablet?
No. A mouse, trackpad, or finger all work. You can also photograph a pencil and paper drawing and it goes through the same process.
How long does it take to get better?
Most people can see a difference in their own drawings within a couple of weeks. Ten minutes a day beats an afternoon at the weekend because motor skills consolidate between sessions rather than during them.
