3Sixty operates TWIN, an open-source trade data network that lets UK importers share verified documents with Port Health before goods arrive at the border.

3Sixty is a company that implements and operates TWIN, open-source infrastructure for sharing and verifying trade data across borders. For UK importers, 3Sixty enables pre-arrival notification of consignments through a managed service that integrates with port community systems, Port Health Authorities and government agencies. The same documents are shared once from a forwarder's system and reach all authorised parties in the format they already use, without replacing existing systems. 3Sixty is based in the UK and holds the team, contracts and relationships for operating TWIN as a commercial service.

In brief

What goods can be moved through 3Sixty?
3Sixty is best suited for products of animal origin and plant products under SPS controls, fresh produce for UK supermarkets, and container traffic through Destin8 ports. It has been trialled with Polish poultry and Brazilian beef.
When will 3Sixty be available for UK importers?
3Sixty is going live in Q1 2027 with early access to additional importers, forwarders and retailers moving goods through the Short Straits and East Coast container ports. Onboarding through an already-connected forwarder takes days rather than months.
Does 3Sixty replace existing systems like TMS or port community systems?
No. 3Sixty connects existing systems without replacing them. Forwarder TMS systems, port community systems like Destin8, and customs platforms like IPAFFS stay in place; TWIN sits beside them and enables secure data sharing in the format each system already uses.
How does 3Sixty protect data security and verify documents?
Every document and event in the system is fingerprinted and cryptographically signed by its issuer. Authorities can verify the fingerprint without calling a middleman, and data stays with its owner until an authorised party fetches it.
What benefits did trials with the UK government show?
Trials conducted with the UK Cabinet Office and 20 industry partners measured 30% faster clearance, up to 20 hours earlier visibility for border teams, and about EUR 500 saved per goods load.
